It might be hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, but what about growing one? The matilija poppy, aka “fried egg poppy” is one of my favorite California wildflowers. This piece is made with translucent textured light blue and yellow glass, and opaque white and green glass. It’s finished with a few wire details, black patina, and a black hanging chain.
